As this challenging year comes to a close, we remember all those we have lost in 2020 who were associated with the various Johnstown Bridge clubs in the parish.

None more so than Christopher Hackett and Fiona Colleran Quinn whose young lives were cut short.

We also remember the late Una Walsh, wife of Tony who has been a loyal servant to the club for many years.

Former football and camogie players, Terry and Grainne Mc Ginty buried their mother Chris in March.

While in early May Joe Cawley father of past Club Chairman Sean and players Martin and Noel passed away.

We remember the Doran family and their late father Dick Doran who died in July.

Our Club Chairman John Cooney’s mother in law Joan Fitzsimons who passed away in early November.

Former player Enda Cooney’s mother Maureen also passed away in November.

It was an extremely difficult year for our Club referee Peter Farrell and his family where both parents Barney and Ann Farrell passed away.

And finally today on New Year’s Eve, the Holton family said goodbye for the final time to their wonderful Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother.
